The Nationwide Tour of Golf holds a tournament in Hayward, California this week, followed by the South Georgia Classic Presented by First State Bank & Trust, the last tournament in April for the Tour. The Fresh Express Classic at TPC Stonebrae is a golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It was first played in 2009 at the TPC Stonebrae, formerly Stonebrae Country Club, in Hayward, California.[1]
The inaugural event had a prize fund of $600,000 with $108,000 going to the winner, AustralianMichael Sim who shot a final round 64 to triumph by 6 strokes.[2] The 2010 event had the same purse and American Kevin Chappell won his first Nationwide Tour event.
